Pain is used by the body to warn of dysfunction. Long before pain occurs dysfunction occurs; much like a dental cavity that takes a long time before you become aware of it. Disturbed vertebral motions, called subluxations, and other joint motions are early indications of this. In the early stages this manifests in a variety of ways: hypertonicity, spasming, fibrosis, weakness and improper or inappropriate functioning of muscles with adhesions of spinal muscles and ligaments; later as abnormal bony growths from the vertebral bodies and joints, as well as dehydration and degeneration of spinal discs.
Brain and organ function are effected.
This signal, pain, from the most complex organism known to man—our bodies—is telling us there is something wrong. Pain is not the problem, it's telling you there is a problem!
